Senior season is always one of my favorite times of the year, but getting to photograph Katie's senior session in Carthage was something I'll always treasure. This session was extra special because Katie isn't just another senior in front of my camera—she's my oldest daughter. Watching her grow into the incredible young woman she is today has been one of the greatest blessings of my life, and capturing this season for her meant more than words can express.

Of course, Mother Nature decided to keep things interesting! Between the swarms of mosquitoes, the steady wind, and the Missouri humidity, we definitely had a few challenges to work around. We found ourselves moving quickly to stay one step ahead of the weather, and thankfully we wrapped up the session before the wind and humidity completely won the battle with her hair. Looking back, those little obstacles just make me smile because they're now part of the story we'll remember every time we look at these images.

Katie has a quiet strength about her that shines through in everything she does. Her faith in God is the foundation of who she is, and it influences the way she treats others, approaches challenges, and looks toward the future. She's also dedicated countless hours to the game of golf and hopes to continue playing at the collegiate level. Watching her passion, determination, and work ethic both on and off the course has made me incredibly proud, and I can't wait to see where this next chapter takes her.

Katie, thank you for letting Dad step behind the camera to capture such an important milestone in your life. It was an honor to freeze these moments in time, and I hope these photos always remind you of who you are, how far you've come, and the exciting journey God has ahead of you. I love you, and I couldn't be more proud of the young woman you've become.
